Enjoy your meal whilst the kids keep busy!

Have you been looking for a kid-friendly restaurant in the Garden Route? If so, you must visit New Wave Village on the road to Victoria Bay, just outside George in the Garden Route.
In fact, not only is this a kid-friendly cafe, it is pet-friendly too.
YES, you read that correctly, you are welcome to take your dogs along too.
New Wave Village has a huge garden, with a number of different games all set up for the kids (and of course for those adults that are young at heart),
These games include things like boule and croquet plus a few that I do not know the names of, but involve throwing bean bags onto a ramp, and one where you dribble a football round different posts and I am sure, those that want to, can make up their own rules too.

There is also a fabulous Jungle Gym for those that prefer that.
The best thing of all though, is that all these activities are within sight of the numerous tables dotted around the beautiful gardens, so you can keep an eye on your little people, whilst enjoying some adult time.
The Cafe at New Wave Village has a good variety of different treats, from delicious breakfasts, to coffee and cakes, if you are looking for a mid-morning break.
For something a little more filling, there are burgers, toasties, soups and quiche. Or for those with a sweeter tooth, pancakes, waffles and even real Gelato.
On the day that Bryan and I visited there was a Special Offer available on their burgers. “Buy One, Get One Free”.
We thought it a great opportunity, so we ordered two Double Barrel Burgers.

The presentation of the dish was delightful and the burgers were extremely tasty and certainly very filling. I would definitely recommend the Double Barrel Burger.
To drink, I also decided to have a cappuccino, which was also great, whilst Bryan tried out one of their milkshakes.
As well as the cafe, at New Wave Village you will find a beauty treatment studio, a surf shop and surf school, a shop called Rare Finds, which sells good quality, pre-loved clothing and also a fully-equipped Office Space that is available to rent out.
There are solar panels adorning the roof at New Wave Village, so load shedding is not a problem here.

Bryan and I have visited New Wave Village a couple of times since discovering it and we love it.
There is a relaxing and chilled vibe here, the gardens are huge and the view of the Outeniqua Mountains are just beautiful.
If you are keen to visit New Wave Village, they are open from 9h00 – 16h00 Monday to Saturday. Closed on Sundays.
Take the road off the N2 (just before George, if you are traveling from the direction of Wilderness, Sedgefield and Knysna), which is sign posted to Victoria Bay.
About 3oo metres along this road, on the right-hand side you will find New Wave Village.
Their sign posts are very obvious and easy to spot, so you really cannot miss the entrance. Turn right here and just a few metres down this road on your left-hand side you will find the parking area.

So, the next time the sun is shining and you are looking for a kid-friendly and dog-friendly restaurant to head to, why not try a visit to New Wave Village. I am sure you will enjoy it as much as we do.
